My name is Janice Devine-Patterson and it is an

As I write this I can hear my pots bubbling over in the kitchen.
That sound has become so familiar and I give thanks for the gift of
light that has changed my life. The contents in the pots are soy -
soy wax that is being prepared to make candles!
I began my involvement with soy candles as a hobby. My
husband and I both agreed that this hobby would not take over all
the other responsibilities in my life. Like most of you, my days
are full and very involved. What I love about this vehicle, soy
candles, is that it has the ELC Factor (everyone loves candles)!
This makes it fun and easy to share the gift of light with others as I
move throughout my day.

Candlewealth, Inc.
I purchased my first Master Candlemaking Kit from Candlewealth, Inc. so that my daughter, Ryan,
and I could make gifts for those we love. However, this craft has become much more than a hobby -
it has turned into a booming home business producing substantial additional income for our family.
After giving them away as gifts, I started hosting "private pours" in my home. I charged ten dollars
a person to come over and learn how to make a candle. That included a candle they would
personally learn how to make and take home with them. After they made a candle then of course
they would “shop” and look at all the other candles my daughter and I had on display for sale.
However, as it turned out, my friends began purchasing their own candlemaking kits from me which
created a new substantial source of passive income...... I'm making money while I'm having fun
connecting and playing with my friends! Now that is an idea who's time has come!!!!

My ten year old daughter, Ryan, is my little guru. She keeps me
grounded and reminds me to enjoy the “soy” journey and smell
the candles along the way! She believes that if you're not having
fun, then something is wrong! This has become my compass for
staying authentic and true to my own heart. Ryan is a very wise,
young (old) soul and continues to teach me so much!

My Mission Statement......
...... is to be the light that others can come to with their ideas, dreams, and visions. What originally
started as a wonderful and fun hobby that allowed me to play and make gifts with my daughter, has
transformed into a ministry to share with others. This is a way for me to share my love and light
